Stress is defined as: “a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or demanding circumstances.”
When you take a quick survey of your life, what are some of the stresses that you are faced with? Is it your personal finances? What about a difficult relationship? Are stressed about what kind of parent your are? No matter what it is, you are not alone! We all struggles with stress. Each of us are faced with a myriad of responsibilities, which in turn, creates stress. If left unchecked, stress can have a devastating affect on our lives. Just think about it for a second…

There is a fascinating passage found in 1 Peter 5:6-10 that I want to share with you and to share a few ‘keys’ to help you with handling your stress.
6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, 7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. 10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. 11 To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
This passage is filled with so much hope and truth. I want to share a few points which I hope will help you as you deal with the stress in your life.
